Cultivating the world's finest quinoa
13,000 feet up on the arid, desolate Salar De Uyuni salt flat of Bolivia, traditional Quechua and Aymara farmers tend to fields of highly coveted "quinoa real," or royal quinoa, an ancient variety grown only in this very spot. This pearl-shaped, nearly perfect nutrition source was so revered by the Incas that they called it "chisaya mama" or "mother grain." Our Royal Rainbow Quinoa adds color, crunch and creativity to any plate.
1 cup quinoa + 2 cups liquid = 4 servings
Rinse quinoa under cold water until water runs clear. Place quinoa and water or stock in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, cover and cook until liquid is absorbed and germ has spiraled out, about 20 minutes.
Flavor tip: Before adding liquid, sauté quinoa in pan with a dash of olive oil until slightly toasted, about five minutes.

I love the taste of the red alot better and this has a grit to it, even though I wash it alot. The red is so much easier.
A great alternative to rice, pasta or potatoes. Organic, too! Easy preparation. Makes a colorful presentation on the plate. Great texture with toasty, nutty and crunchy flavor. Gluten free, very low sodium and 3 grams fiber per serving. Fair trade certified.

Love the rainbow quinoa by Alter Eco. It's quinoa is quite clean and no need to rinse for long before cook. Even cook in microwave is fine.
Super Sad It's Discontinued

I love this stuff. I even made 24 "ice cube" portions of this for my baby's meals. He loves it. Too bad ): it's one of the few quinoas that could be shipped to China.

Our family enjoyed the taste of this. Easy to prepare and has a nice nutty flavour to it.

I had trouble with my first pack of quinoa as it turned out too soggy but I finally plucked up the courage to try this other brand. Love the taste and the color and yes will buy more in the future!
