Expiration Date: Jul 2019
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
Shipping Weight: 0.46 lbs (0.21 kg)
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

The Alvita Story...
In 1922, a new era for tea consumption began in America. The herb alfalfa, long known for its beneficial nutrients, was packaged in tea bags and sold to an emerging health food market. This product became known as Alvita and set the standard for future herbal teas. Today, Alvita represents more than forty single-ingredient teas, each one uniquely distinct, just like the individuals who drink them.
Alvita chooses only the highest quality organic, wild-crafted, or cultivated botanicals, perfectly prepared to provide you with the best Mother Nature has to offer. Historical and scientific literature is painstakingly studied to ensure that the correct traditional plant and most appropriate servings are used, delivering premium flavor and quality.
Herbs are gifts from the earth. Alvita takes its stewardship seriously by offering carefully harvested teas in earth-friendly packaging. Our beautifully illustrated boxes are made using recycled paperboard and our English, pillow style tea bags are oxygen bleached, not chlorine treated. You won't find a better product, with a cleaner package... anywhere.
Alvita... brewed with confidence, steeped in tradition.
Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum L.), also known as Tulsi in Hindi, is one of India's most sacred herbs, and is treated with reverence in daily ceremonial use. The herb is also a popular culinary ingredient as well as one of the primary herbs used in Ayurveda, and has traditionally been used by herbalists for its adaptogenic properties.
Alvita Holy Basil Tea is made with premium-quality, organic holy basil leaves, and has a slightly spicy aroma and flavor with just a hint of clove.
Place one tea bag in a cup and add 8 oz of boiling water. Cover and steep for 3 minutes. Gently squeeze tea bag and remove.

iHerb Customer Reviews
I have tried several other brands of Holy Basil tea, but Alvita has the best flavor. IHerb has the best price I've found anywhere..the organic version is less here than the non-organic version elsewhere.
i cant believe that this brand, alvita is so fake company...and very poor quality the tea is very bad quality, poor quality and have very UNNATURAL FLAVOR/SMELL when i open the tea bag is smell like vanilla, WTF? I order natural and organic Basil, but i fact i pay a lot of money for poor quality, money is important for Alvita, WE - the clients we are not important.... the i did not expected to see such a poor quality i will not order again and i recomand you dont do the same mistake buying this tea
