Oat Groats are a hulled whole grain famous for making oatmeal. Because of its iron and fiber, this is a popular grain for use in hearty breads, scones, and creative recipes for flavorful salads.
Basic Oat Groats
- 1 cup Arrowhead Mills Oat Groats
- 2 cups water
Put water and oat groats in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, let simmer 30 to 45 minutes. Drain, use as desired. Makes 2 cups.
Organic Oat Groats.
Store in a cool dry place.

If you like oatmeal, you will love this. You just have to cook it for about 30 to 40 minutes. Excellent source of fiber with a good taste. Thanks Iherb for your good quality products!

I mix this with other whole grains, Lundberg Brown Rice, for example for the best breakfast cereal ever-- and the grandchildren love it!

I cook 0.25 cups of groats in 1 cup of water every day for one hour and leave overnight and eat for breakfast next morning with one tbsp ground flax seed and skim milk - great breakfast oats
