I disagree with the other commenter that this tastes "nothing" like peanut butter. Sure, straight out of the jar, it wouldn't fool me. But it's certainly much closer to natural peanut butter in texture and flavor than anything else I've tried, especially compared to almond butter. Also, when used in baking, and spread on apples/carrots/celery, I really can't taste much difference. It's creamy, smooth, and delicious... the flavors of the tahini and cashew meld together wonderfully. I've been moderately allergic to peanut butter for most of my life but have never been able to totally give it up because I was so hooked on the delicious peanut-buttery flavor. I've tried all kinds of nut butters and they all disappointed me. This stuff, however, has made me decide to give up peanut butter for good! I know my body will thank me. One other perk -- most nut butters (especially almond butters) get rock-solid after refrigeration, but not this stuff. A quick stir makes it spreadable again. Perfect!
This isn't a peanut butter, and thank God for that! It's a delicious low-sodium cashew-sesame nut paste with its own distinct taste. If you want your salty, ultra-processed, long-chain saturated fat laden peanut butter, go out and buy some Jiffy and be done. Cashini is a healthy food you can spread on toast or celery or anywhere you would use peanut butter.

We use it as a dip for carrots and celery - really very smooth and easy to eat!

After trying Artisana's Cacao Bliss, Pecan butter and Macadamia Cashew butter with great success, I wanted to sample some of the manufacturer's other products. As a peanut butter fanatic, I thought the Cashini Butter would be a good product to try. It is labeled as a peanut butter replacement and probably could function in that capacity for many people. Taste wise, however, I would recommend all of aforementioned Artisana's products over this one. The macadamia cashew butter is especially good on toast. The Cashini Butter is easily retrieved from the container. There was no oil separation and the product was ready right out of the jar -- no stirring required. One can take a butter knife and quickly spread the substance on a piece of toast or apple slices. There are just three ingredients in the product: 100% organic raw cashews, 100% organic raw sesame seeds and sea salt. I found the flavor to be very much influenced by the sesame seeds and considered this to be a thicker form of tahini. While not noted explicitly on the product's label, I could see nothing that would contradict my belief that this is a vegan product. There is no milk, honey, eggs or other animal-based substances that go into the formulation of this product. According to the product packaging, this product is "made in a facility that processes tree nuts and soy, but does not process peanuts, gluten, dairy, cholesterol or GMO's." I think this is a good product but flavor wise cannot compete with Artisana's other creations. If I had not tried other Artisana products before the Cashini Butter (and if the Cashini Butter was not so reminiscent of tahini), the product would have received a higher rating from me. I would prefer to spread the macadamia cashew butter or pecan butter on toast rather than this cashini butter. Compared to Artisana's other products, the Cashini Butter comes in a larger jar which is a nice feature. Many of Artisana's other jars contain only 7 or 8 two tables
