Suggested Use

Make the World's Best Oatmeal at Home

It's so simple. Bring 2 cups water and 1/4 tsp salt (optional) to a boil. Add 1 cup of rolled oats, reduce heat and cook for 10 to 20 minutes (time depending on the consistency that you like your cereal) stirring occasionally. Cover, remove from heat and let stand a few minutes. Enjoy. Makes 2 servings.

In the Microwave

Say you're in a hurry. Combine 1/2 cup oats and 1 cup of water. Cover and microwave on high for 3 to 5 minutes. Let stand for two minutes. Enjoy. Makes one serving.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with milk, cream, or a pat of butter.
  • Add brown sugar, honey, or maple syrup for sweetness.
  • Add fresh or dried fruit, raisins, nuts, and/or cinnamon.
