The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Make the World's Best Oatmeal at Home
It's so simple. Bring 2 cups water and 1/4 tsp. salt (optional) to a boil. Add 1 cup of rolled oats, reduce heat and cook for 1 to 5 minutes (time depending on the consistency that you like your cereal) stirring occasionally. Cover, remove from heat and let stand for a few minutes. Makes 2 servings.
In the Microwave
Say you're in a hurry. Combine 1/2 cup oats and 1 cup water. Cover and microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes. Let stand for two minutes. Enjoy. Makes one serving.
- Serve with milk, cream, or a pat of butter.
- Add brown sugar, honey, or maple syrup for sweetness.
- Add fresh or dried fruit, raisins, nuts and\or cinnamon.

I love oats and I'm so happy to be able to get these shipped to Korea. I usually boil some water and pour over oats and let sit for 1-2 minutes, add some cinnamon and nutmeg plus a few drops a Stevia sweetener. Yummy!
It is always difficult to find oat like this one around here (Saudi Arabia), and if I find it, it will be at least three times the price, now I can finally enjoy a healthy breakfast when I ordered this product and I have it almost everyday and I am enjoying it hot with a bit of honey, chia seeds and low fat milk :)
