Product Overview

Description

  • Pride of the Mill
  • To Your Good Health…Bob Moore
  • Friend of the Heart
  • 100% Stone Ground Whole Grain
  • Kosher

The original stone ground porridge of ancient Scotland.

Oatmeal originated in Scotland centuries ago and was different from our modern rolled oats. A coarse meal was produced by slowly grinding the oat kernel between two large millstones. Many years ago, Bob visited Scotland and learned the art of stone milling at the historic, water-powered Preston Mill.

Today, Bob’s Red Mill Scottish Oatmeal is produced in the same old-fashioned way and contains all the health-giving nutrients of the best quality oats from health-giving nutrients of the best quality oats from which it was ground – the germ, the oil and the fiber.

Diets rich in whole grain foods and other plant foods low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers.

iHerb Customer Reviews

Nice tasting

I always come back to this Scottish oatmeal, from the regular Quaker oatmeal flakes, when pricing and package size turns out to be a good value...and in this instance, thru iHerb, it was.

So creamy!

Posted by 4762332782315513887 on Feb 22, 2015

This oatmeal gets so nice and creamy when cooked. I like to add a little honey and almond butter. I find that it keeps me full longer than just a bowl of cereal or a piece of toast. If you're not huge on oatmeal, I recommend this kind. It's creaminess will win you over for sure!
