The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Our sun-dried Raisins are made from seedless Thompson grapes that are ripened to maximum sweetness and then naturally dried in the sun. These raisins are a delicious snack right out of the package and make a fantastic addition to all of your baked goods.

Cinnamon Flax Scones
1 ¾ Cups unbleached white flour
¼ cup flaxseed meal
1/3 cup sugar
½ tsp. baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
1/3 cup butter or shortening
¾ cup buttermilk
½ cup Bob’s Red Mill Raisins
Preheat oven to 375°F. Thoroughly mix flour, flaxseed meal, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Cut butter or shortening into dry ingredients until a pea-sized texture is formed. Add buttermilk. Do not over mix. Place dough on floured board with raisins. Knead 5 to 7 times to incorporate the raisins. Roll out until dough is ½ inch thick. Cut into triangles 2 inches wide by 4 inches long. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush with an egg white glaze (1 egg white mixed with 1 tbsp. water) prior to baking. Bake for approximately 25 minutes. Yield: 12 scones

I was so disappointed when the Woodstock Farms brand of raisins was discontinued. However after ordering these, I found I was delighted to make the switch. These are so much more moist and plump, sweet and delicious! A winner!
