Millet originated in China nearly 10,000 years ago, making it one of the earliest cultivated grains. Whole Grain Millet is a good source of protein, essential amino acids, and fiber, with a distinctive, sweet flavor. It cooks quickly and is one of the most versatile grains around. Makes a great hot breakfast cereal and a tasty side dish that's a unique alternative to plain mashed potatoes or rice. Millet Grits can be added to breads and crackers for a hint of sweetness and crunch. Easily digested and gluten free - an excellent choice for special diets.

Bob's Red Mill products labeled Gluten Free are batch tested in our quality control laboratory. We use an ELISA Gluten Assay test to determine if a product is gluten free.

Suggested Use

Keeps best refrigerated or frozen

Cooking instructions:

For delicious and nutritious hot Millet Grits bring 3 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil. Add 1 cup of Millet Grits and reduce heat. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with milk and honey and add fruits and nuts as desired. Makes four servings.

really nice porridge and resistant starch but wish it was organic..You can soak it to lower oxalate levels..
