- With Peppermint and Yucca
Desert Essence Tea Tree Replenishing Shampoo is powerful yet gentle. Tea Tree Oil cleanses without stripping hair's natural emollients and helps restore the moisture balance to the hair and scalp. Peppermint Oil soothes your scalp while Yucca and Eucalyptus help reduce flaking while adding moisture and shine to hair.
Massage a small amount into wet hair and scalp. Lather, rinse thoroughly with cool water and follow with Desert Essence Tea Tree Replenishing Therapeutic Conditioner for optimum results. Do not use on color-treated hair as tea tree can fade color.
Water (aqua), coco-glucoside (coconut derived), sodium coco-sulfate (coconut derived), melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, callitris introtropica wood oil (blue cypress), mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, hydrolyzed wheat protein, mentha arvensis leaf oil, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, opuntia vulgaris extract (nopal cactus), yucca schidigera extract (yucca cactus), citric acid, glyceryl oleate (vegetable derived), glyceryl caprylate (vegetable derived), glycerin (vegetable derived), menthol, guar hydroxypropyl-trimonium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium benzoate

It does not contains harsh chemicals such as paraben, phthalate, sodium lauryl sulphate. However, it does contain sodium benzoate which reacts with vitamin C to form benzene, a known carcinogen. It also contain sodium coco sulfate which has the exact chemical structure as the sodium lauryl sulphate. In addition, there are also other chemicals used in this product. A disappointment, compared to other desert essence products which doesn't use any chemical at all. I have very oily facial scalp and it itches at times. I find this shampoo to be too drying, making my scalp full of dandruff instead. I stick to other gentler natural shampoo instead. Check out my page for more reviews!

This helps keep my scalp from itching and leaves my hair soft and manageable. It doesn't feel squeaky clean when you rinse it, but it is. I am on my third bottle.

Really like the smell and the cooling sensation on the shampoo.

It didn't work for my kinky hair. It was too drying. I really wanted to like it because of the tea tree content, sadly it didn't work.

Je l'avais acheté pour mon chéri car il se démange souvent la tête.Ca lui avait bien diminué ses démangaisons. Il a bien apprécié, l'odeur aussi.
I like shampoos from Desert Essence in tubes better
Posted by DadaBarokova on Jan 29, 2016
I bought this shampoo when I had problems with oily hair and it was working fine. Package is so big, the smell is okay (not the best but also not stinky), ability to foam is lower (I like lots of foam so I know for sure that all my hair is covered, washed properly). But as it is not recommended to use on color-treated hair and I´m using henna again so not using it right now - maybe in time just before the next henna application. So working fine for me but I like shampoos from Dessert Essence in tubes better.
