I was thrilled to pieces to find an alternative option to pads and tampons when I first came across the idea of a menstrual cup. After researching the pros and cons, I decided to purchase not one, but two. I thought that this would be most opportune in concerns to public washroom scenarios … and it would’ve been, if their use was not so uncomfortably awkward. After using the cup for about 6 hours, I tried to remove and empty it. This is where my problem began. My index finger and thumb would not fit inside of me. I could not squeeze to bottom of the cup to pop the suction and remove it. After trying multiple positions, pushing, baring down, foreign objects, etc. nothing worked. After trying desperately to remove the cup for about an hour with absolutely no success, I abashedly opted for the emergency room. Three hours and an awkward yet humorous discussion later, the cup was removed. With the decision made against a return visit the very next day, I opted to leave the cup with the nurse instead of taking it home with me. The other was donated to a friend who was interested in trying it, cleaned of course.
I LOVE IT. It's great. There's no leaks, or anything you have to worry about with tampons. I don't have to carry around extra with me because all you do is take it out...empty it...run it under water and reinsert. It really is that simply. I would have paid $50 or more for this had I known it was this amazing. EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ONE.

Does take a bit of practice to get the hang of it but I love the cup so much I will never go back to traditional pads and tampons. The convenience of only having to think about it twice a day (when I wake up and before I go to bed) is so good compared to having to change a pad or tampon multiple times a day. It means you can deal with it at home and not think about it a school/work/when you're out. Also it's so much cheaper and less wasteful than traditional products.
Extremely uncomfortable and difficult to pull out

For all the tight girls out there - pick another menstrual cup... This cup is very big and difficult to insert (like 3 tampons at once) and that little thing that you have to hold to pull the cup out - is way too short and the cup almost gets lost inside - another reviewer had to go to the emergency room to take it out. I have to spend like 10 minutes every time removing it, with various poses, digging in and hurting in the process. Gonna try another company.
This thing changed my life

no more messy period. I have changed from pads to tampons, then now this. I am still getting used to this. sometimes I still have leaks, maybe i didn't insert it correctly. I guess it takes time to get the right way to put it in. But I am so satisfied with this.
Just started using it and LOVE IT! Comfortable, reliable & sustainable

I'm a young woman in my 20s. At first, I was very skeptical to try a menstrual cup but after my first use I was totally converted! The first time was intimidating but I'm SO glad I tried it. It took about 5-10 minutes to find a comfortable insertion the first time but afterwards I had no issues. It super comfortable and trustworthy: no leaking at all! It's easy to get scared when there are lots of mixed reviews for this type of product -- but there's nothing to loose!
