I was surprised to find that this soup has a tomato flavored broth. It was also less salty tasting than Amy's lentil soup. The packaging is simple, adequate, and easy to open. A word of advice, if you intend to divide the soup into two bowls straight from the package, use a spoon so you have an equal broth to veg ratio in each. Instructions say to shake before opening, which I did, vigorously, but it still did not pour evenly. I found this soup to be generous in portion, relative to price and comparable products, and sufficiently delicious to purchase again.
