Dr Wood soap contains all natural ingredients and it’s very versatile. It does not contains harsh chemicals such as paraben, phthalate, sodium lauryl sulphate. It’s biodegradable and does not leave behind harmful chemicals in the environment. It does not irritate the eyes much when it accidently gets into the eyes. This is not the same when you use conventional soap loaded with many unknown chemical. It’s very moisturizing with the shea butter and is not harsh on the skin by removing too much natural oils from the skin. It is a bit more drying than the black soap with shea butter. I have very oily facial skin and one facial wash can last me 4-5 hours before it needs another wash. My facial skin does not dry up when I wash my face frequently. I also use it for shampoo, body wash, shaving, washing clothes, dishes and floor. Basically, it’s an all in one bottle! It’s comparable cheaper than its rival Dr Bronner soap which sells similar soap. Check out my page for more reviews!
I can see my review won't make any difference here because somehow this product has 4.5 stars! It is way way way over fragranced, with a very low grade of tea tree oil. The smell was overwhelming and made me feel a bit ill, as low grade essential oils will. It was not easy getting through the bottle and could not give it away, two friends also thought the smell was too strong and just unpleasant. Then it does not wash or rinse off nearly as well as Dr. Bronners, there is simply no comparison to the lather and rinse off quality of Dr. Bronners. How did it happen that this high quality website for natural products stopped carrying Dr. Bronners? If you are sensitive to smell, or to low grade essential oils, this is not for you. This product can only be so popular because it must appeal to people just getting into healthier products for the first time, who were otherwise used to the unbelievably overscented and unnatural smells of typical soaps.
No Longer Saving Sensitive Dry Skin

They have changed something but it is not reflected in the ingrediants. I now itch horribly and the fragrances no longer smell natural. In fact they smell aweful. Lastly, it used to be thick but is now watery.

We use it regularly. It is an essential part of intertrigo therapy.
What a letdown!

Decided on getting this product after reading the rave reviews on this site. My expectations could have been erroneously raised as such. Reasons for my disappointment: - I am an avid user of tea tree essential oil n is very familiar with its scent. This product has a faint scent of tea tree oil. However more overpowering is this odd, unpleasant smell. Call it plastic, chemical-like. Instead of being calmed, feeling relaxed, it's more likely to induce headaches, nausea. -As shampoo. Hardly lathers at all. Unable to get product over the entire scalp even after repeated dispensing. Shampooing should not be such a chore. -As facial wash. Held my breath while using. To keep off the horrid smell. A thin film was left on skin after rinsing off. I am not sure if this is an inherent "after-feel" of all Castile soap -As hand wash Rather drying, but good thing d horrid smell did not linger on my hands for long. I will not recommend this for bath/beauty purposes. Perhaps will work for household cleaning.

This definitely cleans well! Nothing to wow about the fragrance but it sure doesnt smell too bad either. What it does is that it cleans well and is soothing for the skin.
Excellent and economical for the whole family

We have replaced all our liquid cleansers for face and body with this product. It is a gentle, natural yet thoroughly effective cleanser! My 8-year old son has eczema, a dry and itchy skin condition, and using this product has really helped improve his skin condition. We no longer need to use any other medication for his skin. At this price, it is an affordable solution for natural, safe and effective skin cleansing for the whole family!
