It seems to do the job of other, more expensive primers. I'll have to see how long it lasts. Only started using it a few days ago, but it does make my mascara have a bigger impact. Put on lower lashes 1st, and let dry before using mascara. They'll be stiffer and take the mascara more easily. For the upper lashes, put on primer, and while still wet, put on the mascara. You'll have more control of the mascara's smoothness and definition.

The E.L.F. Mascara Primer works fine, but it's a little dry when you first open the package, and it dries out fast after that. The tube doesn't last very long, so if you calculate the cost per use, it may not be much different than the drugstore primers that cost five times as much, but that also last much much longer. And it's not good for the environment to be disposing of so many containers either.
This didn't do anything for my lashes and made the mascara application more difficult. I also hate spirally mascara brushes!

Decided to try after reading other good reviews. Didn't like it: it makes you lashes a little bit longer and thicker, but it also feels very uncomfortable on your eyes (I'm not allergic or something). The good thing this primer costs only $3, so no regrets. Just won't buy it again. Please press "yes" if my review was helpful to you
