Expiration Date: Mar 2017
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
Shipping Weight: 0.4 lbs (0.18 kg)
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Eden Organic Genmaicha Tea
A refreshing, authentic, time honored tea. It is tended, harvested, and prepared exactly as it has been for centuries. Genmaicha Tea contains 80% less caffeine than regular brewed coffee.
This blend of fine green tea and roasted brown rice, both organically grown in Uji, Japan, creates a delightfully refreshing and satisfying tea whether served steeping hot or ice cold. Genmaicha is perfect with meals, warm conversation, or quiet contemplation.
Genmaicha Tea is the tender tea leaves of spring with roasted brown rice.
Brewing Directions for the Perfect Cup:
Hot: We recommend using a ceramic, glass, earthenware or stainless steel kettle or teapot. Heat water to almost a boil. Fill a cup and steep the tea bag for 4 plus minutes and remove. Green tea should not be boiled.
Iced: For a glass of ice tea, brew as above. After steeping, cool and then pour into an ice filled glass. To make a pitcher of ice tea, we recommend using 4 teas bags to 1 quart water for 6 servings.
Organic sencha green tea leaves (camellia sinensis) and organic roasted brown rice.
iHerb Customer Reviews
This tea is absolutely delicious and refreshing. It has the taste of toasted rice, the kind you get when you cook rice and a crust forms at the bottom of the pot. You traditionally add water to this crust of rice and you get a wonderful toasted rice tea. With this tea bag you get the same flavor.
I like the tea's earthy flavor, which emphasizes the brown rice over the green tea. Some green teas can be too acidic for me; this one balances the acidity level with the brown rice that makes it easier on my stomach.
