Eden Organic Genmaicha Tea
A refreshing, authentic, time honored tea. It is tended, harvested, and prepared exactly as it has been for centuries. Genmaicha Tea contains 80% less caffeine than regular brewed coffee.
This blend of fine green tea and roasted brown rice, both organically grown in Uji, Japan, creates a delightfully refreshing and satisfying tea whether served steeping hot or ice cold. Genmaicha is perfect with meals, warm conversation, or quiet contemplation.
Genmaicha Tea is the tender tea leaves of spring with roasted brown rice.
Brewing Directions for the Perfect Cup:
Hot: We recommend using a ceramic, glass, earthenware or stainless steel kettle or teapot. Heat water to almost a boil. Fill a cup and steep the tea bag for 4 plus minutes and remove. Green tea should not be boiled.
Iced: For a glass of ice tea, brew as above. After steeping, cool and then pour into an ice filled glass. To make a pitcher of ice tea, we recommend using 4 teas bags to 1 quart water for 6 servings.
Organic sencha green tea leaves (camellia sinensis) and organic roasted brown rice.
This tea is absolutely delicious and refreshing. It has the taste of toasted rice, the kind you get when you cook rice and a crust forms at the bottom of the pot. You traditionally add water to this crust of rice and you get a wonderful toasted rice tea. With this tea bag you get the same flavor.
I like the tea's earthy flavor, which emphasizes the brown rice over the green tea. Some green teas can be too acidic for me; this one balances the acidity level with the brown rice that makes it easier on my stomach.

I have been drinking this tea for years and have tried others with Rice and they are not as good to me. I started drinking this BEFORE I knew it Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo recommended it :)
One of my favorite teas!

This is one of my favorite teas - Genmaicha from Eden. It is toasted brown rice and green tea goodness to savor at any time of the day. Wonderful!
Great toasted rice flavour

Toasted rice is a very welcome alternative to the fruity and spicy flavours. And the green Senchsa tea is of very good quality. A staple in my tea selection from now on.

I tasted genmaicha at a sushi restaurant, and was not expecting much (green tea with rice? Weird!), but found it delicious, and this tea is just as good! I love it, and have already reordered. It taste simply of a subtle green tea with rice.
