Eden Wasabi Powder is made from washed, cut and dried wasabi (Japanese horseradish) and Western wasabi (horseradish) that is ground into a fine powder. Mustard seed is ground and most of the oil is extracted, leaving about 4 percent of the oil in the seed. The seed is then ground again into a fine powder. The remaining oil in the mustard powder is needed to bind the wasabi and horseradish powders. All of the powders are then combined and mixed before packaging in sealed containers to preserve flavor and nutrients.
To Prepare: Mix with a little hot water, and let sit for 5 minutes to release its flavor. Make it fresh each time. Hot, stimulating and delicious, for sushi, sauces, dressings and dips.
Horseradish, mustard and wasabi.
I never had wasabi before and after trying this all I can say is that this taste very good, but it's also really hot.It taste pretty good to also mix it with garlic, mustard, and ground hemp seeds. I would also be cautious if you choose to buy it at this time due to the Fukushima incident because this wasabi is grown in Japan.
Very easy to make, rich taste, medium hot. Really worth buying this again and again.

Well it is so tiny, not hot enough
The best wasabi powder out there.

It tastes the closest to what Americans are accustomed to, as I found 100% wasabi had an off-putting taste. This is the only one I will buy.

I usually buy the other brand on iherb (cheaper, with tumeric). I mix the powder with tomato juice in the morning (it's supposed to combat hayfever). Tasting it dry, this one has a slight hint of dirt, not pure wasabi by any means, but then none of these powdered forms are.
