Eden Wild Rice hand harvested in northern Minnesota lakes by Native Americans in canoes as required by law. Parching it over a wood fire preserves and imparts a mild nutty flavor. Authentic wild rice is in danger of contamination from domesticated, hybrid strains grown in paddies. Eden Wild Rice is helping this age-old tradition continue, and it supports the Native American traditional culture. Good source of fiber and protein, gluten free and heart healthy.*
*Diets rich in whole grains and other plant foods and low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers.
To Prepare: Wash 1 cup wild rice, place in a small pot with 2 cups water, cover, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 30 to 35 minutes until light and fluffy.

iHerb Customer Reviews
Wild rice is a delicious side dish to any meal, and can also be used in salads. This rice is high in protein and B vitamins and is harvested in North America. It has a nice chewy texture that anyone can appreciate over the gummy texture of white or brown rice. It does take a little longer to cook but is worth the wait. Worth every penny!
