The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Directions for broth: Dissolve 1/2 cube in 1 cup hot water. Stir. Enjoy!
Not-Chick'n Noodle Soup (Serves 5)
- 1 Tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 Garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 Onion, diced
- 1 Carrot, chopped
- 1 Celery stalk, chopped
- 4 cups Hot water
- 2 Not-Chick'n Bouillon Cubes
- 1 cup Cooked pasta of your choice
- Dried parsley flakes
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Put the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Once hot, add the onions, celery and carrot and sauté. Add the garlic, cubes and water. Continue to cook until the cubes have dissolved. Add pasta and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook a few more minutes (until the pasta is warmed) and then serve and enjoy!

I had been trying to figure out how to re-create the taste of chicken broth, and this does the trick. I have tried these with soups, cous cous, and roasted veggies. They all taste wonderful infused with the Not-Chick'n broth, and my family thinks so too!
