Enzymatic Therapy’s Petadolex Pro-Active supplement contains pure butterbur extract to support healthy blood vessel tone in the head, as well as normal blood flow in the brain.
The patented method of extraction for Petadolex Pro-Active ensures the valuable petasites compounds are captured, while leaving out toxic levels of inherent compounds such as pyrrolizidine alkaloids. For soothing comfort that improves with continued use, trust Petadolex Pro-Active for your entire family, as it is effective in both adults and children!
Petadolex Pro-Active supports healthy blood vessel relaxation in the brain. Blood vessel tone is influenced, in part, through neuralgic, vascular, and chemical factors.
Butterbur (Petasites hybridus) contains several compounds with bioactive properties. Two of these compounds, petasin and isopetasin support healthy blood vessel tone and circulation.
Petasin additionally provides nutritional support for cellular activity associated with the functioning of healthy blood vessel walls.

I did a lot of research into a reputable brand of butterbur. It is important to go with a trusted company, because there are harmful components in butterbur that must be extracted be it can be used. Petadolex is an excellent brand. I started taking the butterbur about a month ago and my migraines have decreased in both frequency and intensity. I have tried so many medications to prevent my migraines, and so far this has been the most effective. The only side effect is occasional burping, but it is not that noticeable -- and much better than having a headache--or the side effects of medications like Relpax! I've never written a review like this before, but I have hope that butterbur will help people suffering migraines like me.
My chronic migraines with related sinus inflamation were triggered by the slightest change in weather conditions. The migraine frequency had escalated to the point that it was rare for me to have a truly pain-free day. I was initially disappointed with this product as it seemed not to help, but after faithfully taking it for several months, my headaches gradually reduced in frequency and severity to the extent that now I think I may actually be completely free of them!!! If you have headaches - give this a try!

It has been a long time coming
Migraine headache (Throbbing)

It doesn't seem to work on me at all. My migraine is chronic and I get the throbbing headache from on a regularly basis. Initially, B2 works extremely well but it loses its effectiveness after 6 months.
I guess I'm one of the few who can't take it

I have severe migraines, and my neurologist actually suggested I try butterbur, but she cautioned that one cannot take it if allergic to ragweed. Apparently I am allergic to something, because I had a bad reaction to this product; I developed a severe headache which lasted for the five days that I took the product, as well as breathing problems. Eventually, I realized it was most likely the Petadolex, I discontinued the product and felt better within a half a day. I'm really disappointed that it did not work for me.

I have now been taking this for 2 1/2 months and have been very pleased with it. I've tried just about every preventative treatment there is for my chronic migraines, including an exhaustive list of medications and botox. Thus far, I've found this to have been the most helpful treatment in reducing the frequency of my migraines. I also have noticed a significant decrease in the daily low grade headaches I've been experiencing.
