The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Tangy Green Guacamole
- 3 large ripe avocados (preferably the pebble-skin Hass variety)
- 1 cup Frontera Tomatillo Salsa
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Cut avocados in half, twist apart, then remove the pits. Scoop out the pulp into a bowl. Coarsely mash with a potato masher or large fork. Gently stir the salsa into the avocado mixture, along with the cilantro. Taste and season with salt. Serve with Frontera Tortilla Chips, or sliced cucumber, radish and jicama. Serves 4.
Tomatillos, tomatoes, filtered water, onions, serrano chiles, cilantro, garlic, salt, evaporated cane juice, spices.

This stuff is almosf as liquid as ketchup, a kind of sickly green color, and incredibly sharp, not medium at all. I have always loved Amy's mild salsa, which is chunky and thick, just a little spicy, and tastes of tomatoes. Iherb, please sell Amy's Salsa!
I had been missing salsa verde, because I cannot seem to find tomatillos to make my own in Korea. This stuff really hit the spot!
