I absolutely love the taste of maple syrup and I though that this would be a nice sugar free alternative. In a way it is, but I think that you have to pour a big quantity to get the flavour in baking. I think it evaporates easily, maybe because it is alcohol free. Click on my username for more reviews! I have been using a lot of real grade B maple syrup from NOW brand and this doesn't compare to the real thing ... a flavouring but not an authentic taste for me. If you have a problem with sugar then of course this will be better for you.

Love this product, a little goes a long way!! Highly recommend this for adding flavor without anything you don't want to add!! I originally found this locally in a health food store but have since moved and no longer have the availability locally. It was the only flavor that I though "might" work in some recipes I had that the store had onhand. Well it DID work, it was very versatile, I used it in place of caramel and butterscotch flavoring and loved how those recipes turned out with maple flavoring so I jumped on iHerb and ordered a couple more bottles when mine was finally used up! I've since also purchased butterscotch but still prefer the maple in the recipes that called for butterscotch.
