This popular blend of black teas has a full, robust, malty (and slight citrus) flavor. It's a good choice for those who prefer a bit of milk or sweetener in their tea.
Botanical name: Camellia sinensis L.
English Breakfast is a tea hearty enough to pair with a full breakfast or a tea-time repast of freshly baked scones. This traditional tea is often accentuated with sugar or honey and milk.
We're proud to offer a wide array of familiar and exotic loose leaf teas from the finest tea estates for optimum sipping. We've got a wide selection of organic and Fair Trade Certified™ teas, along with premium black teas, green teas, herbal teas and yerba mate amongst others.
The best tasting teas are brewed loose.
Loose-leaf tea is superior in both flavor and health benefits. Whole, intact leaves retain the full components of the teas which are diminished with the chopping, grinding and sifting that prepares tea for tea bags. Loose-leaf teas unfurl while steeping and release their full aroma, taste and goodness
We have a taste for tea. And nothing tastes better than teas that are sustainably farmed and socially beneficial. That's why we're committed to offering a large selection of organic Fair Trade Certified™ teas. Purchasing Fair Trade teas benefits farmers committed to sustainable practices and provides support to their communities.
To enjoy, pour 6 oz simmering water (185F preferred) over one teaspoon of tea. Steep 4-5 minutes, strain and serve immediately.
Fair Trade Certified English breakfast tea (certifies organic camellia sinensis)
Excellent value. This whole leaf tea needs time to steep. Pour 18 ounces of boiling water over 1 TBS of leaves in a pot and let it steep for at least 5 minutes. Strain the tea into another pot or travel mug and enjoy. A bit of milk as well as you favorite sweetener are a nice addition. For iced tea, just pour over ice in a very large glass. For best flavor do not press or stir leaves but pour through a fine mesh strainer.
Very mild and bland tasting so I mix it with a tiny amount of organic Irish breakfast tea OR throw in half a dozen buds of organic lavender for some kick! Then it's fun to drink.
Very smooth, but it's not PGTips.

I really enjoyed this tea. I made a pot with three large teaspoons and it was a little weak. I let it brew a little longer and it improved greatly in strength. The next day I made it with four heaping teaspoons and gave it a good 7 minutes to brew, stirred before pouring, and I had a very nice cuppa. It was still smooth, no brand name strength, acidity, or bitterness so if that is what you are expecting you'll be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a mild, smooth, lightly aromatic breakfast tea, you will be very pleased indeed. Give it a good stir, a good tea cozy, and a good brewing time. I will buy it again.

Large bag of organic tea for a good price. Seems fresh and good quality.

I like the fact it's organic but it's far too weak. And I usually drink normal strength, meaning one tea bag per cup.
wonderful AND organic

I used to love Twining's English Breakfast Tea, but after reading about the pesticides, I tried loose Frontier Organic English Breakfast tea, and it's even better.
