Rooibos is a mild, reddish-brown tea rich in antioxidants. Naturally caffeine-free, this slightly sweet and nutty brew can be enjoyed any time.
Botanical name: Aspalathus linearis
Rooibos (pronounced "roy-boss") is a broom-like member of the legume family of plants. It is made from the dried, oxidized young leaves and branches of Aspalathus linearis. Rooibos (translated from Afrikaans) means "red bush", which is why the tea is often refered to as bush tea or red tea. Used for centuries in South Africa, Rooibos is becoming more popular in Europe and the United States because of its lack of caffeine and smooth, mild flavor.
Rooibos is cultivated in the Cederberg region, which is a mountainous area north of Cape Town South Africa
To enjoy, pour 6 oz boiling water over one teaspoon of tea. Steep 3-5 minutes, strain and serve immediately.
Fair trade certified organic rooibos tea (aspalathus linearis).
Luxurious red tea with a delicious cinnamon aroma. Not only is it naturally caffeine free and has no known side effects and contraindications, but also it's packed with health benefits. Rich in vitamins C, K, E, A, B vitamins (folic acid, pantothenic acid, niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6), manganese, magnesium, copper, iron, pota ssium, phosphorus, calcium, different amino acids, tannins, antioxidants, flavonoids, it's beneficial for people suffering from morning sickness, nausea, cardiovascular conditions, anemia, hypertension, headache, gluten intolerance and celiac disease, diabetes, leg cramps, arthritis, rheumatism, water retention, gallstones and gallbladder disease, IBS, asthma, colds, flues, asthma, gingivitis, canker sores and gum disease, acne, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, and even cancer. Rooibos tea flushes toxins out of the body, aids digestion, prevents heartburn and acid reflux, relieves nausea and bloating, increases appetite, heals gastric ulcers, soothes the stomach lining, reduces colon inflammation, facilitates healing, boosts the immune system, helps stabilize blood sugar and regulate insulin levels, prevents blood spikes keeping you full longer, normalizes blood pressure, lowers triglycerides and LDL or "bad" cholesterol levels while increasing HDL or "good" cholesterol, protects against strokes, atherosclerosis and peripheral arterial disease, helps maintain healthy bones and teeth, soothes and heals dry and damaged skin, and even reduces the risk of cancer. It's also a wonderful natural sleep aid and stress reliever, helping you calm down, fall asleep faster and get a good night’s rest. Rooibos can also be applied topically to heal wounds, scars, bruises, cuts, burns, rashes and acne-affected areas of your skin. A rooibos mask or scrub improves the complexion, brightens and evens out skin tone, reduces redness, spots, blotchiness and small lines, helps break down old scar tissue and prevent premature aging. It's truly a wonderful tea and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their overall health and well-being.
adds a rich colour and sweetness to mixed medicinal teas .. with Rooibos, tea never looks like dishwashing water, and it makes some of the less pleasant, but powerful medicinally teas, taste palatable .. actually it makes everything taste great, and to all of that I add the R-A stevia.
What a bargan

Tea is fresh and great flavor, I will mix with another fruity flavored tea sometimes or on its own. Great!

How I love this... I'm very sensitive to caffeine, so this is a great non-caffeinated herbal tea that has a calming effect on me. It has all the antioxidant benefits. The flavour is a mix of mild herbally floral taste. This is my go to in the evening after work.. so relaxing.. Love it!
Great product for children.

At last, found a tea alternative without the caffeine. Can enjoy drinking this tea like water without the fear of insomnia - at the same time reaping the antioxidant effect. Especially good for folks who suffer caffeine jitters but love their tea. Nice with lemon, cinnamon honey etc because it really is so fragrant. Remember to rinse your mouth after enjoying though to prevent yr teeth getting stain! 可当茶来喝。可是记得得漱口
