Product Overview

  • Allium Cepa
  • Non-Irradiated
  • Kosher

The distinctly strong taste of onion is indispensable in the kitchen. It's warm, sweet and salty flavor shines in most savory dishes. It comes in several convenient dried forms: flakes, granules, powder and slices.

Suggested Use

Onion powder: Like granules, onion powder provides flavor and aroma, but not texture. It's especially good for sauces and gravies, canned foods, meats, spice blends, soups and spreads. Add directly to most foods or rehydrate by mixing with enough cool water to make a smooth paste. In place of one fresh onion, use 1-1/3 Tablespoon onion powder.

White onion (allium cepa).

1 pound of onion powder is a lot. This will probably last me 2 years or more. The taste is not as good as other onion powders though, but still usable. This powder is better when used in cooking only.

I like it

First, this is a large amount and should last a very long time! It has a nice smell and flavor of fresh onions. The texture is a VERY fine soft light powder that will cling to spoons you scoop it with.

This is the only way to buy spices. It is very economical, especially if you use as much as I do.
