A well-made hairbrush can last you many years.
Hairbrushes with natural boar bristles have been preferred for centuries. Each of our Ambassador Hairbrushes has been carefully hand-crafted to provide years of enjoyable use. Ambassador Hairbrushes are made from non-endangered woods, beautifully durable and smooth to the touch. We offer many handle designs to comfortably fit any hand, we also have an extensive range of brush styles to fit many different needs, including hairstyling brushes, professional brushes, as well as wooden & plastic pin options on some styles to expand the range of available options.
Boar bristles distribute the natural oils from their origin in the scalp to the hair ends. Besides adding luster, brushing with a fine Ambassador Hairbrush protects your hair from the elements which cause drying and splitting. For thick hair we recommend our Pneumatic Brushes. They are made with the finest boar bristles available and then reinforced with nylon quills. These brushes can tame the thickest hair while distributing your natural hair oils. Putting time aside each day to pamper yourself using a fine Ambassador Hairbrush can add calm and relaxation to a hectic day.
To care for your brush, we recommend washing in cool water with the shampoo you use on your hair. Because we use the finest woods we recommend that you do not soak your hairbrush. You can condition the natural boar bristles, and your hair, by using Nature's Alchemy essential oils of Rosemary or Lavender in the following manner: Place a small amount of Nature's Alchemy oil, just smaller than a dime, in the palm of your hand. Rub your hairbrush bristles in your palm to apply the oil and brush thoroughly from your scalp to the hair ends. You will see the added shine and conditioning effects immediately. This weekly routine will also add a lovely fragrance to your hair.
This product uses no endangered wood.
iHerb Customer Reviews
Let me begin by saying that the brush is exactly as it appears in its description, which is well made of high quality wood and boar bristles. My complaint has to do with its size. The dimensions shown in the description are of the BOX it is packaged in, and not the brush, itself, which is significantly smaller. And since iHerb requires customers to return items at their own cost, I will probably keep it as a travel brush. Not very pleased with the retailer.
This hairbrush is actually scented or treated with some type of fragrance products that are embedded in the brush. I have to wear a mask when I go anywhere and am near fragrance products. Everything I buy Is fragrance free, so I was hugely disappointed when this brush arrived stinking of some cheap smelling artificial scent that caused my chest to get tight upon breathing it. But worse, I had to air out my other items because the scent had adhered to them also (the main reason I buy from iHerb is because the products arrive in the original condition as opposed to being contaminated by pharmacy or supermarket chemicals from nearby shelves stacked with fragrance products); my vitamins aired out fine, but disapointingly, The brush is still outside airing on my balcony--months later. On the packaging instructions it says to treat the brush regularly with rosemary oil but nowhere did it say it was already treated, and, by the way my chest gets tight breathing it in, it's not a natural product. It's really hard to find a wooden brush that doesn't have the bristles sitting in rubber or a synthetic bed. Life is hard enough for people who suffer with inhalant allergies to scents and solvents and petrochemicals without companies and businesses secretly scenting products with no disclosure on the packet. I live on australia so I didn't want to send only one item back but I really should have because, as I said, the brush is still airing out outside.
