Product Overview

  • Vegetable Based
  • Since 1878

Grandpa is confident that you will enjoy his soap as generations have since 1878. Times have changed, but our commitment to bring you the highest quality personal care products remains.

Uses: Acts four ways to improve blemished skin:

  • Softens the hard shell of acne blemishes (keratolytic action).
  • Helps dissolve and remove blackheads.
  • Washes away excess oils which may cause blackheads.
  • Freshens skin by its thorough cleansing action.

Suggested Use

Use twice daily. Work up lather with hands or washcloth and apply to affected areas without scrubbing. Let dry about one minute, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry.

For external use only. Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor. Do not get into eyes.

Stop use and ask a doctor if excessive skin irritation develops or increases.

Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

it was ok

I've had some acne on my face and back and thought giving this a try. My skin type is normal but I have a bit of oiliness every now and then. It made my skin feel really clean yet it dried it out really badly. Didn't really help with my facial acne but I think it helped a bit with my back acne. Overall it smells pretty nice, kinda like an old fashioned soap if you will. Stopped using it after a while because it really did make my skin dry, even if I used moisturizers.

I am in my early 50's and have never had acne, but have always had blackheads on my nose and chin and the very occasional large pimple, despite having a good cleansing routine. In the last couple of months I have been using this soap on my face several mornings a week and found that it has made a positive difference to my skin. The blackheads have reduced significantly. I have a drier skin type and this is not irritating to it.

I bought another one even though I still have more than half of the first one, because I am so scared this soap will cease to exist

Unfortunately, didn't clear up my acne

I have occasional breakouts around my chin, forehead, etc. It's gotten bad recently so I decided to try this soap because of the great reviews. Unfortunately, it just didn't do anything for me after 2 weeks of use. No hate, just didn't work. But there are lots of great reviews saying it works for people, and it's cheap, so worth a try if you have acne I think.
