Chia (pronounced chee'ah) is the richest and only unprocessed, whole food source of pure Omega3. A member of the mint family, Chia is native to Central America and has been used traditionally for over 3000 years. Ancient Aztec warriors prized Chia as an endurance promoting superfood, eating it in bread just before battle, and drinking it in water before running long distances.
Due to its high fiber content, Chia seed absorbs up to ten times its weight in water, making it an excellent source of hydration. Chia's soluble fiber forms a gel that slows the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream, binds it to toxins in the digestive system, and helps eliminate waste.
Omega3 Chia is especially rich in essential fatty acids and high-ORAC antioxidants like quercetin, myrecetin, caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid. As a result, Omega3 Chia seeds maintain a 99% sprout rate and have a shelf life of up to 5 years. Omega 3 Chia seeds are rich in Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, many trace minerals and biologically-complete protein, making it the perfect survival food. Omega3 Chia is certified organically-grown and is naturally gluten- and GMO-free.
The unique texture of mixed Chia seed is a feature of its high fiber content and water binding capacity. For maximum benefit, drink at least 64 oz of pure water everyday, Omega3 Chia seed can be added to many foods, including cereal, soup, salad, yogurt, smoothies and baked goods. One tsp. of Chia seed mixed in 2 oz of water becomes the perfect egg substitute.
Simply mix one scoop (15 g) of Omega3 Chia seed with 12 oz. of lemonade, thin juice, or your favorite beverage. In a Greens Plus shaker cup or resealable bottle, shake periodically for a few minutes until the Chia seed becomes evenly suspended, then sip for a refreshing, performance-enhancing energy drink.

iHerb Customer Reviews
i add chia to my salad dressings, my smoothies, and my juices - helps me stay hydrated and balances my blood sugar level and i am sure that there are numerous other benefits
Very good for the bowels, indigestion, and just energy. I mix up a scoop in some fresh coconut milk, let it get suspended, and then drink. Absolutely so easy to take! Don't think I want to be without it. Everything is running smoothly again. Thanks, iherb, for the great prices and all you offer, not to mention the service. Ten stars always!

I have finished my first container of this and wow! I am 30 year old female, I workout everyday and eat very healthy and I couldn't figure out why I was so backed up. I was having a bowel movement twice a week if I was lucky.. Seemed to be like that my whole life! I added one scoop to my oatmeal in the morning and one scoop to my lentils in the afternoon and after two weeks I started going regular. It is amazing. I will not be without this product. I have tried everything.. pills, stool softeners, laxatives, detoxing, evening going to the doctor for a colonoscopy. I Actually started taking chia seeds for the health benefits and to my surprise ... I feel better than ever! This is a must have staple in my everyday diet and I will not be without this product!!!!!!
WAY better than using Metamucil or whatever ...

I love this ! The packaging comes with a scoop that has a long enough handle to reach ALL the way to the bottom. I add one scoop to a 16 oz water bottle & shake it up. You can also sprinkle it on salad or mix it up with olive oil & whatever to make salad dressing. GREAT for constipation (NO cramping) and has health benefits besides ! Will buy again !
