Guayaki Yerba Mate is a high energy infusion made from the naturally caffeinated and nourishing leaves of the celebrated South American mate tree.

For centuries, South America's Aché Guayakí tribe have sipped yerba mate daily for its powerful rejuvenative effects.

Guayakí's mission is to steward and restore 200,000 acres of South American Atlantic Rainforest and create over 1,000 living wage jobs by 2020 by leveraging our Market-Driven-Restoration Model.

Our Traditional Mate is pleasantly rich with a full-flavored body, surprisingly soft on the palate, and complimented by earthy, woodsy aromas. Makes a delicious mate latté with your choice of milk and sweetener!

Suggested Use

Coffee Maker / Espresso Maker:

Place ~1.5 tsp yerba mate per serving in the filter basket or portafilter, and brew normally. Adjust to desired strength,

French Press / Tea Pot / Strainer:

Mate Latté: Add your favorite milk and sweetener to a cup of brewed yerba mate.

Tereré (Cold Mate): Brew a cup of hot mate, then add ice.

Bleurgh. Hate the taste.

Wanted to understand the hype over yerba mate but couldn't stomach the herbal taste. Could not finish the entire bag and ended up throwing it away.

I haven't tried a lot of yerba mate. I've bought two other brands from iHerb in the past. I gave one away and drank the other one like drinking medicine - I didn't enjoy them. Guayaki is my third try. I started to look forward my morning cuppa.

got this as a gift from a friend. taste like a usual tea (depending on how you make it strong (less strong) to suit to your taste. it helps me poop also so i guess it helps in the digestion work. got sooo used to it so now i purchased it myself! this should last you a really long time, i suggest buying tea leaves than tea bags. overall, i think you should try it! (tip: just buy the empty tea bag packs at daiso and you're good to go!)
