Expiration Date: Sep 2017
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
Shipping Weight: 0.64 lbs (0.29 kg)
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Traditional Yerba Mate
Guayakí (gwy-uh-kee) Yerba mate (yer-bah mah-tay) is made from the leaves of the celebrated South American rainforest holly tree (ilex paraguariensis).
Of the six commonly used stimulants in the world, (yerba mate, coffee, tea, kola nut, cocoa and guarana,) yerba mate triumphs as the most balanced, delivering both energy and nutrition.
For centuries, South America's Aché Guayakí tribe have sipped yerba mate daily for its powerful rejuvenative effects. These rainforest people find tremendous invigoration, focus and nourishment in yerba mate and revere it as the "drink of the gods".

iHerb Customer Reviews
I discovered Yerba Mate about ten years ago and drink it without fail every single morning. Personally, I don't know what I'd do without it!While coffee can ruin your system and make one nervous, Yerba Mate delivers a clarity, awakeness and balanced aliveness. Supposedly, it contains caffeine, but a nutritionist once told me that the compounds in Yerba Mate are "a cousin" of caffeine, but the FDA requires it to be called caffeine. If that's true, it would explain why it stimulates but IS NEVER HARSH on the nervous system or adrenals like coffee is. I think it's the PERFECT COFFEE SUBSTITUTE. I confess I drink more than a single bag - up to four bags a day sometimes. It is great for waking up, before meditation, before working out and super great for writing, reading and studying. While, Yerba Mate is fine by itself, I highly suggest trying a little chocolate flavored (or your favorite flavor) Almond Breeze, Soy Milk or Rice dream for flavoring and sweetness, or adding a little stevia. For us, Guayaki Yerba Mate tea is the most incredible tea on the planet!
