Earl Grey is named after the second Earl of Grey. We have recreated the original formula using an exclusive blend of biodynamic teas with the natural oil of bergamot, a Sicilian citrus fruit. The result is an Earl Grey admirably suited to modern tastes: aromatic, smooth and sophisticated but never overpowering.
The tea is grown from Makaibari, the first biodynamic tea estate in the world, situated at 3-4000 ft high up in the Himalayas. The estate is protected on all sides by lush virgin rainforests and is home and livelihood to a community of 1700 people, a family of panthers and a richly diverse wildlife.
Our promise to you. We believe we have some of the finest organic teas in the world. The purity and quality of our teas, and the natural harmony and well being of the estate and its people mean everything to us. Our biodynamic, organic and fairtrade credentials are your guarantee that our teas are produced in the best and fairest ways possible. We hope they give you as much pleasure and enrich your lives as much as they do ours.
Enjoy. Infuse one sachet per person in freshly boiled water for up to 3 minutes. Add milk and sugar to taste if desired, or add a slice of lemon and try iced.
Fairtrade black tea, natural oil of bergamot.
All ingredients are biodynamic/organic.
In keeping with our philosophy, our teas are free from all artificial additives and GMOs and all of our packaging is fully biodegradable. Our unique teabags are also non-chlorine bleached and staple free.
iHerb Customer Reviews
my fav for breakfast
I start my day with earl grey instead of coffee these days, and I have tried several earl grey tea brands from iherb. This was by far the worst earl grey! Even my husband who doesn't have sensitive taste buds said he just couldn't drink this tea because it was so bad. maybe I got a bad batch or something. I have 23 tea bags left and I don't know what to do with them.
