Organic Earl Grey Tea zesty and fragrant
Tasting notes, Kiran, founder
It's the zing from the bergamot oil- that lovely zest from Sicilian citrus fruits- that makes my Earl Grey such a perfect companion to a pastry or dessert.
And because I use only organic Darjeeling, you get a well balanced, natural and fragrant cup of tea.
Rajah, my friend who owns the Makaibari Estate where this tea comes from, lives by this simple mantra:
"The better the soil, the better the taste".
And in this spirit he created the world's first organic biodynamic tea garden, where the tea pickers, wildlife and tea bushes all live in harmony with each other in an environment free of chemical pesticides.
Hampstead is a quaint hillside village just a few miles from the bustling centre of London. Known for its intellectual, liberal, artistic, musical and literary associations and for the famous Hampstead Heath-a large hilly expanse of parkland. Generations of creative ideas have flourished among lovely tea shops that serve various teas all day long and of course observe the English tradition of afternoon high tea and cakes! It is here that Kiran founded The Hampstead Tea Company to bring to market teas of the highest quality and share her belief that the most enriching moments can be those spent sipping delicious, soul nurturing tea with good friends!
Demeter Organic Biodynamic certification ensures that all our teas are grown using sustainable organic farming methods. These methods reflect a commitment to biodiversity, soil husbandry, livestock integration and the prohibition of genetically engineered organisms.
To enjoy my Earl Grey tea, infuse one sachet per cup in freshly boiled water for 3 minutes. Add lemon and honey if you like, and in the summer why not try it iced.
