- A Fine African Tea Blend
Brimming with flavor, Safari Breakfast is a robust blend of African black teas with a reassuringly rich aroma. A full-bodied breakfast tea, it's the embodiment of Africa's fine lineage of outstanding teas, spices and vibrancy.
Ambessa Teas are selected and blended by esteemed tea merchants Harney & Sons.
Ethiopian roots, a Scandinavian upbringing, world travel and an American coming of age...Ambessa's blends are a reflection of chef Marcus Samuelsson's own journey as well as his passion for world-wide culinary creativity.
A tribute to his African heritage, 'Ambessa' means 'lion' in the Amharic language and represents the traditional emblem of Ethiopia.
For Marcus, Ambessa is a way to celebrate a world of cultures, traditions and flavors. These inspired interpretations of classic tea blends are made from the most carefully selected ingredients from all over the planet.
Tea, to me, has always represented something special—the heritage of hospitality, a moment of reflective comfort, the meeting of friends and communities...and above all a refreshing, restorative and delicious experience.
In a life so rich and rewarding of experience, culture, cuisines and possibility, I never want to lose sight of how lucky I am or how unique my journey has been.
For best results, bring water to a boil and let it sit for up to a minute before pouring over the sachet. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes. Steep shorter for a subtle flavor, longer for a bolder brew.
Add interest and flavor to rice using a cup or two of tea instead of water—the perfect accompaniment to the five spice aroma of red-cooked dishes.

I like it. Perfect in the morning! It's only black tea, so it contains a lot of caffeine. Taste even better with little honey or agave
I like this African tea blend. You might try the different steep times, and see what fits best for you. Tin can has much brighter colors than what is on the picture. Good decoration item too. :)
