Functions of Magnesium
Magnesium (the relaxer) is required at the center of every cell in the body. When the cells are low in Magnesium, Calcium (the constrictor) moves to the center of the cell to protect the cell integrity. This causes every cell in the body to be tight. For Sore Muscles
Use full strength or dilute Magnesium Oil 50/50 with Prill or distilled water. Spray or apply and gently rub into the area ~ repeat as necessary. For sensitive skin try our Magnesium Oil with Aloe Vera.
Brush Your Teeth
Add 5-6 drops to the toothbrush and brush as normal. Magnesium Oil tightens gums and dissolves deposits.
Magnesium Oil is a vasodilator (opens the blood vessels very quickly) and, when applied topically, a warm or tingling sensation may occur.
For Tub Soaks
Use Magnesium Bath Crystals in the bath!
- For Foot Soaks
Pour 4 ounces of Magnesium Oil into a container large enough to hold both feet when flat. Add enough water to cover the tops of the toes ~ a comfortable temperature. Preferably Prill or distilled. Soak feet 15-30 minutes. After soaking rinse with water or towel dry. Discard liquid after soaking. For best results, repeat this 6 days a week for one month then 2-3 times per week for maintenance.
For those who are extremely magnesium deficient or sensitive, reduce the volume of Magnesium Oil.
- Topical Application
Use full strength or dilute Magnesium Oil 50/50 with Prill or distilled water. May be applied to the entire body particularly the bottom of the feet. Let air dry for best results. Once dry the Magnesium is fully absorbed. If a sticky feeling is present, rinse the area and towel dry.
Magnesium chloride USP
Caution: Those in kidney (renal) failure should never use any form of magnesium. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
I purchased this oil after reading that ingestion of magnesium supplements do not absorb well. Then you also have the matter of them going through the digestive tract and possibly causing upset stomach. I have been taking magnesium supplements for years and feel I still did not have a normal magnesium level. I read other reviews about this oil stinging and I do have semi-sensitive skin. So far, I have applied it full strength to one calf as a patch test and had no rash or visible reaction, but it did sting. I mixed it 50/50 with distilled water in a spray bottle and sprayed my legs and it stung too much so I washed it off. The next day I sprayed my chest and back and could tolerate it. I like it best on my feet and had absolutely not stinging there. It feels a bit drying, but then again, it is salt! So I think it takes some getting used to and experimenting with where it will work best for you, but feel it will be so worth the benefits of absorbing the magnesium transdermally.
It is everything it is cracked up to be. I mix 50-50 with distilled water and spray from neck down my whole body after a shower and let air dry a few minutes. Then I rub almond oil or one of the other essential oils over my body, then let that soak in and I'm ready for the day. I can only assume it absorbs into the body, but it does feel great. At first there may be a little prickling in places, and if you have a cut or rash it will really prickle, but over all, it feels wonderful. I will certainly keep buying it.

Well not really thrilled but I had to buy my own squirt bottle to use and I did dilute but caused my leg to have fluid retention. I guess it works ok but won't buy again.

This product has been a life saver. I have horrible insomnia. from not being able to sleep, to poor quality and waking to early, you name it. I also have tachycardia and other heart issues. After taking this product for a week, my sleep improved dramatically. It did not work right away, but really noticed a huge difference in my sleep after about a week, and I have very severe insomnia. Eventually though my sleep quality became worse, very vivid dreams, tossing and turning etc. (note: the magnesium oil did increase my dreams and gave me vivid dreams after starting it but they didn't disrupt my sleep initially). I reduced the amount of oil I was applying and it fixed this problem. I also found that since taking the magnesium oil it has relaxed my heart and my tachycardia doesn't act up. I was taking about a quarter size amount rubbed onto each foot 3 times a day. That amount turned out to be too much as described above. I have lowered the amount to about a dime size rubbed between my palms and spread behind my knees 2 times a day. I can adjust more or less as I feel the need. I also apply it to my back and neck when my muscles are sore and it helps so much with sore muscles. Another benefit that I wasn't even expecting is that my migranes aren't nearly as bad as usual. I still get the migranes once a month but they are much more mild. My Doctor was so happy that I finally found something to help with my long-standing insomnia issues. He also advised me that because the epidermis on our feet is the thickest on our bodies, that I was essentially wasting a lot of product and not absorbing as well as I could if I were to apply it to an area where the skin is thinner. ie. the back of the knees, which is where he suggested I put the oil instead of the bottom of my feet. Since my body is absorbing more of the oil by placing it on the back of my knees, I also need less product and save money that way! Check out my profile for more reviews.
