We are always thinking (ok, obsessing) about unique, beneficial and all natural balm combos. Decidedly, we took a challenge; to create balms based on basic Ayurvedic Dosha principles Ayurvedic who? Dosha what? Hurraw is lucky to have an Ayurvedic practitioner on staff so bear with us here. Talk about obsessed! After two years of diligently formulating our asanas off, satisfaction arose.
We infuse rich, cold pressed organic sesame seed oil with plants, fruits and roots known to compliment each Dosha. We melt in our creamy raw organic coconut oil, rich raw organic cacao butter and emollient cold pressed organic castor oil. We mingle in a trio of flavors from pure essential oils and all natural flavor extracts to create a unique, long lasting, very nourishing lip balm.
An infusion of ashwanganda root.
The soothing almond scent is complimented with notes of spicy cardamom and finished off with a lovely lingering of rose.
The Vata Dosha: dry, quick, cold, light, subtle
Element: air (wind) & ether (space)
Commands: intuition, creativity, imagination, spontaneity
Emotions: anxiety, worry, doubt, fear
Pacified by: sweet, earthy, warm

This scent exceeded my expectations - it's absolutely delicious-smelling. You can smell the almond and the cardamom in the most pleasant possible way. In general, the lip balm itself is very good, and I would give it 5 stars. But evaluating the scent separately, that too is 5 stars.
I love Hurraw balms but this one smells disgusting. I'm bad as describing smells but it is a bitter medicinal smell with hints of floral scents. It is does smell like roses or almonds at all. My partner says it tastes like ginger beer? Well anyways, I don't like it at all. Give it a go if you are daring. Otherwise stick to vanilla, that I love!

Very nice balm! It took me a few days to get used to the smell but now I quite like it.

I was delighted to find this lip balm on here, as this is my absolute favorite combination of smells. The initial smell doesn't disappoint, but...well the rest of it does. These typically-powerful smells last barely a minute on my lips and disappear completely into a generic oil smell (maybe its the castor oil I'm smelling? I don't know but its unappealing). The formula is just okay, not too greasy, but it does seem to fade rather quickly, and not in a soaking-into-the-skin way, just in a... need to constantly reapply way. Not very soothing or nourishing for dry lips. If this was a few bucks at a drugstore I wouldn't care, but the packaging and pitch made it sound so luxe and ...its just blah. Picked up some Crazy Rumors lip balm in the same order and prefer those.
