Jarrow Formulas, JarroSil, Activated Silicon, Liquid, 1 oz (30 ml)32 Reviews
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

JarroSil's Activated Silicon improves the strength and elasticity of collagen by stimulating collagen production. Stronger collagen means healthier, more elastic skin, and fewer and shallower wrinkles.
The outer shaft of hair is rich in silicon. Adequate silicon helps hair grow thicker and stronger.
Supplementation with JarroSil also strengthens weak, brittle nails associated with an inadequate silicon intake.
Silicon plays an important role in bone calcification, including during the growth of new bone. Bone building cells (osteoblasts) start by constructing a connective tissue matrix. When this is done, the osteoblasts switch their function and begin to fill in this matrix with minerals. This process requires silicon.
JarroSil is an essential partner of calcium for bones, glucosamine for joints and antioxidants for supple and healthy arteries.
JarroSil is a synergistic formulation of highly bioavailable silicon. A patent pending Activated Silicon formula, JarroSil contains stabilized molecular clusters of silicic acid, which provide a biologically active form of silicon upon dissolution into liquids.
JarroSil is manufactured in the USA using the latest technology for enhanced bioavailability, stability and improved taste. Stabilized silicic acid is converted to highly bioavailable ortho- and disilicic acids upon dissolution in liquids and in the stomach.

iHerb Customer Reviews
When I first wrote the following review, Jarrow Formulas was only offering a 1 oz bottle of Jarrosil with less than half the potency at just a few dollars less than the competing Natrol Biosil that has twice the potency. Since then they have started offering a 2 oz bottle of Jarrosil to compensate for the difference in potency, and the value is greatly improved! So I a ammending my review, the main question in deciding what brand to buy is now merely a difference in formulation.... I did buy the Natrol and have been using it, it works just as well as the Jarrosil for me. I have been using the BioSil product for over a year now, and it is an essential part of my mineral supplementation program... but it was discontinued. SO... after comparing the price of the new JarroSil and the Natrol BioSil 1oz Liquids, I went with the JarroSil since it appeared to be less expensive. I bought Several bottles, too. When I got it home and started taking the JarroSil, I realized that the recommended dosage was 10 drops for a 4 mg serving. The old BioSil was a 5 drop dose for a 5 mg serving. So now I am having to take more than twice as much to get the same serving. I looked at the Natrol BioSil and it is still a 5 drop dose for a 5mg serving... SO..The Natrol BioSil IS more expensive than the old BioSil, but it's still less expensive than the JarroSil. Basically the JarroSil costs .07 cents per mg, or if you buy the Two pack it costs .05 cents per mg... But the Natrol BioSil costs .04 cents per mg. I think that is what I will buy next time.
Works great for my wife's Osteoporosis
