Product Overview

  • Reduced Form Co-Q10 (Ubiquinol)
  • The Most Bioavailable and Active Antioxidant form of Co-Q10
  • High Absorption Natural Proliposome Delivery System
  • Dietary Supplement

Ubiquinol is the reduced (active antioxidant) form of Co-Q10, the form which is directly used in human metabolism as a lipid-soluble antioxidant. While standard Co-Q10 (ubiquinone) supplements can be activated in the body, this activation can be less efficient in some individuals, based on age or genetics. Ubiquinol also has superior bioavailability to ubiquinone, as demonstrated in clinical trials.

QH-absorb utilizes the Q-absorb natural proliposome lipid-soluble delivery system, which has been clinically shown in humans to increase Co-Q10 levels up to 400% (3.2x) over baseline and is 3-4 times better absorbed than chewable Co-Q10 tablets. Co-Q10 supports heart function as a component of the electron transport system, and as an antioxidant protects mitochondrial membranes and cholesterol from oxidation.

Jarrow Formulas ubiquinol is derived from Co-Q10 that is manufactured via a yeast-fermentation process and consists only of the natural trans configuration, the same as is biosynthesized by humans. Jarrow Formulas supports clinical research on Coenzyme Q10.

Like being on a "speed trip!"

Posted by Reviewer2906423 on Jan 03, 2010

I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Systemic Candidiasis. I took one of these soft gels a day for five days (much less than the recommended dosage). On the fourth day, my sleep was impaired, but I didn't recognize that as a symptom of the Co-Q10. The next day, after my fifth and final dose, I was speeding around the house till late at night, completely exhausted, and done-in. It took several days to regain normal sleep quality. I'm sure this is a quality product for those who can respond in a more normal way. My advice is to start very slowly, like pulsing the dosage to every other day.

A dose for the youngsters

Makes dosing 'round the clock' possible, without interfering with sleep, in my experience.

A good adjunct to cholesterol drugs

Posted by Reviewer2319406 on Apr 08, 2008

My doctor told me to take CoQ10 with my cholesterol drug to avoid the sometimes nasty side effect of aching muscles. My cholesterol is down to 158, and no aches! I choose Jarrow because I believe they are ethical in their research and production.
