Suggested Use

Serving Suggestion: With steamed rice or bread.

Just Heat & Eat

Method 1

Cut pouch, empty contents into a frying pan, and heat for 3-5 minutes while stirring. Serve hot.

Method 2

Cut pouch, empty contents into a Microwave dish, heat on high for 1-2 minutes and serve hot.

Method 3

Immerse the foil pouch in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Cut open and serve hot.

Water, tomatoes, onion, red kidney beans, sunflower oil, garlic, spices, salt and ginger.

Good chili base

I have found many ways to use this product. It can stand alone as a base for beans and rice, or can be supplemented to make chili as follows: 1 packet red kidney bean curry, cooked beef chunks or cooked hamburger, ½ cup quick rice, 1 Tblsp chili mix seasoning, 1 small can tomato juice, 1/3 cup orange juice, 2 tsp sugar, 2/3 c water, ½ chopped onion, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 cup Bush’s baked beans It's a small quantity to begin with, so it needs to have some additions to feed more than two people, but this is one of my favorite Kitchens of India products.

For the price, convenience and taste, it would be hard to beat. And on top of that it is natural with no preservatives, will buy again and try some others they make.

We like spicy but this is a hair over the top. We add more kidney beans and then some yogurt or coconut milk over rice to mellow it out a little. If you want this packet ready to eat, prepare to steam out your ears, but if you don't mind a little potschke-ing it can feed a family of four!
