Specially Coated Bromelain is enteric coated to protect the bromelain from becoming active in the stomach and act as a digestive enzyme for food. The German Commission E monograph suggests 200-800 FIP units taken 2-3 times daily. A 500 mg tablet of Specially-Coated Bromelain has 2600 FIP units (or 1200 GDU) to ensure full enzymatic activity.
Suggested Use
Read the entire label and follow the directions carefully prior to use.
Take one (1) enteric coated tablet 2 times daily on an empty stomach, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.
Other Ingredients
Microcrystalline cellulose, calcium carbonate, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, silica, magnesium stearate, enteric coating (methacrylic acid copolymer dispersion NF, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, propylene glycol).
Contains soybeans. Contains corn.
This product contains NO milk, egg, fish, peanuts, crustacean shellfish (lobster, crab, shrimp), tree nuts, wheat, yeast, gluten, or rice. Contains NO sugar, and no artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors, or preservatives.
Warnings
Caution: Those on anticoagulants or antithrombotic agents should exercise caution in the use of bromelain. Bromelain may increase the bioavailability of tetracycline antibiotics.
