Brown Sweet Rice
Brown Sweet Rice has a natural sweet taste. On cooking, the grains cling together because of its sticky texture. This rice is ideal for use in Asian recipes and rice puddings. Lundberg Brown Sweet Rice is not processed and has only the husk removed to ensure full flavor and purity.
From the Field to Your Plate
In 1937, Albert and Frances Lundberg packed up their four boys and moved from Nebraska to California's Sacramento Valley to escape the Dustbowl. After having seen some of the world's best topsoil blow away, Albert was determined to farm in a way that sustained the soil and surrounding ecology. He imparted his conservation ethic to his sons–Eldon, Wendell, Harlan and Homer, who founded Lundberg Family Farms and pioneered organic rice growing. Today, the family continues their environmental commitment by utilizing eco-friendly farming methods such as crop rotation and nitrogen-fixing cover crops for soil enrichment, practicing water-conserving irrigation, providing valuable habitat for the migrating waterfowl, and utilizing clean, renewable energy. We are dedicated to being stewards of our environment and our commitment continues to grow with every grain of rice.

|Servings (about 3/4 cup cooked rice)||2||3-4||6-8|
|Rice (dry)||1/2 cup||1 cup||2 cups|
|Water or Broth*||1 cup||2 cups||4 cups|
|Butter or Oil||1- 1/2 tsp||1 Tbsp||2 Tbsp|
1. Combine rice, water, and butter (optional) in a pot with a tight-fitting lid.
2. Bring to a boil. Stir once. Cover with lid. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 50 minutes.
3. Remove from heat, let stand in covered pot for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork, salt to taste (optional).
To prepare in rice cooker use same water-rice ratios.
*If the rice is crunchy at the end of cooking time, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp liquid and cook longer.

We recommend refrigeration for extended shelf life.

This rice always comes out great, whether in a rice maker or on the stove, excellent.
I love Lundberg rice and have used it for years, This short grain rice is perfect for rice pudding.

This item has been discontinued but Iherb has many similar items that are just as good.

I used this rice to make sushi rolls and it turned out very well. I definitely will add this to my cart for future purchases.
