- Excellent Source of Iodine
- Maine Made
- Sea Salt, Kelp & Dulse
- Naturally Iodized Salt
- Certified Organic by OCIA
We are pleased to bring you this Maine-made sea salt combined with our iodine rich, certified organic dulse and kelp. Besides providing many more minerals than table salt, this blend will more than fully meet your body's daily need for iodine.
We've recently learned that adult iodine levels have dropped over 50% in the last 30 years in the US, even though iodized table salt has been around since the 1920's. The possible reasons for this unhealthy situation are complex:
The iodine in iodized salt may not be fully bioavailable. Our deplete farm soils are iodine starved. Iodine interfering compounds of bromine, fluorine and chlorine are increasing in our foods. People are eating less dairy and animal products that provide iodine. More people are eating sea salt, mistakenly believing it is a good source of iodine (less than 1 ug/g). These are some of the reasons your body deserves this healthy Maine-made sea salt, enriched with iodine, minerals, and trace elements from sea veggies. We trust you'll like it.

Sea salt, organic raw kelp (L. digitata), organic raw dulse (palmaria palmata).

One star because the salt itself tasted good. Problem is, you get this teeny-tiny jar, and then, it's got like a tablespoon and a half of salt in it! I could not, in good conscience, recommend this product to anyone. I'm going to get some good sea salt and grind some kombu or dulse in the coffee grinder and add it to the salt. Much more economical!
This is a very tasty and nutritious seasoning. The reason I gave three stars is because the container was only about 1/3 full when I received it - that was disappointing, because this seasoning is not cheap!
Salt like it should be

This product is absolutely amazing. Very VERY good! It is in a container that is large for the 43 grams of product, but if it was not then the company would not have room for all of the information that is on the label! Yes it is actually 43 grams .. I checked and verified the weight!

Not too salty for those who need to watch their sodium intake. Delicious as a light topping on soups and stews. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed that the salt was white, bleached salt. Not enough sea vegetables, either and will not buy again.
Maine Made Sea Salt with Veggies Is Great!

I use this salt as my table salt. I wish it had more kelp and dulse. It is VERY salty so you need to use it in moderation. I like the fact that this sea salt is enriched with iodine, minerals and trace elements from the sea veggies. This is a very good salt!
