Native Forest Organic Hearts of Palm are culinary delicacies and fine examples of socially and ecologically responsible enterprise. In the Amazon River basin over 200,000 acres of native Peruvian rainforest are protected from development. In this preserve, the palm hearts are harvested from stalks of wild "Euterpe precatoria" palms, which are fully renewable resources. Indigenous villagers in the rainforest region have learned how, where, and when to cut the plants to maintain and repopulate the palm species.
Native Forest Organic Hearts of Palm are tender and delicious, yet low in fat and calories. They are the perfect complement to any meal!

I live in Sweden, and I had a hard time to found this product. Tänker givetvis på Exp Robinsson när jag hör ordet Palmhjärtan :) Dessa är konserverade & mjuka & ngt syrliga. Jag brukar ha de i sallad (Avokado, isb.sallad/annan sallad, rödlök, vitlöksoliver, selleri, soltorkade tomater, Palmhjärtan, citron, olja, salt & persilja. (feta om man vill osv..)
