I'm pleasantly surprised,
January 08, 2008
From Florida
This brand far surpasses the Sunfoods brand, which is much more expensive. I really love these cacao nibs blended into various recipes. You have to do cacao nibs right in order to enjoy them, actually because by themselves, oh please, yeah right.
I read somewhere that the benefits of cacao are multiplied or unleashed, if you will, when you heat it. Makes sense because that's how these bitter beans become "da bomb." One way is to heat up oat bran and add them, after being grinded in a coffee grinder, in with a sweetener (very, very important). I use NuNaturals pure stevia extract. Then you can add whatever else you like, e.g., protein powder or blueberries.

good stuff,
January 06, 2008
From Canada
when I was in the throes of a horrible cold this spring, I was researching online what I can take to suppress my almost-heaving strong coughing. Out of desperation, I was about to take codeine but found that cacao has a strong cough-suppressant effect. I just happened to have these nibs that I had bought a couple of weeks previously. Combined with the chocolate nibs and teaspoonfuls of organic honey, my coughing became not so violent.
This is a nice way to get antioxidants into your body.

THis product appears to be free from the chemicals used to get to the actual caoa nibs. I have no gitters or heart palpatations. Thanks,

Very good quality as compared to raw cacao nibs I have purchased from other sources. At less than $13 per pound, it's a very good deal.
