Organic Green Stevia

A native herb of South America, the wild stevia shrub has been enjoyed for its sweet-tasting leaves for centuries. Indigenous cultures traditionally used stevia as a delicious addition to teas, drinks and recipes. This bag contains 100% natural stevia leaf powder that is certified organic, kosher, vegan and raw.

A beneficial alternative sweetener, ground stevia leaves are 30 times sweeter than sugar yet are low in calories, carbohydrates and glycemic index. Our stevia is dried and milled at low temperatures to protect its nutrients and provide an ideal natural sweetener for a healthy lifestyle.

Our Mission

Navitas Naturals' mission is to provide premium organic power foods that increase energy and enhance health. Our products are of the highest quality, sourced directly from farmers, cultivated sustainably and in accordance with fair trade practices.

Sweet and Green

Posted by Reviewer1543169 on Nov 28, 2009

Tastes sweet and herb/plant-like. Doesn't dissolve well in liquids. It's good to add a little to smoothies or baked goods and cut down on sugar. Keep in mind it is not refined - it is the dried, ground stevia leaf.

If you are looking for a less processed organic stevia, this is it. Has a more "herbie" aroma and a bit gritty compared to the refined white stevia powder. Don't know if this is good but I contacted Navitas Naturals and the spokesperson said it was " the nature of the product".

On my current dietary restrictions, sugar is pretty much out, and stevia is considered to be a much lower glycemic index sweetener, a great alternative for me. plus a great price!

grassy but good

Posted by Reviewer2503595 on Feb 25, 2010

It doesn't stir in well & has a touch of grassy flavour but it's a fantastic sweet tasting product which does what it's meant to do, sweeten without using sugar or chemicals. Love it. Oh and only use a tiny amount, don't go putting a whole spoon of it into your tea as you would regular sugar. Start small, taste, add as you go.
