Fractionated, Isolated & Purified?
The dull, yellow hue and watery texture of purified fish oil capsules is symbolic of highly processed products. This heavy distillation (which can be necessary to remove contaminants) can fractionate, isolate and sacrifice beneficial compounds that give fish oil its naturally vibrant color and clarity.
Wholemega: The Difference is Clear
Wholemega is different. The extra-virgin process used to extract Wholemega, similar to that used in fine olive oil, delivers an oil that is striking in color and transparency. This gentle, food-grade process preserves numerous beneficial compounds—including Vitamin D3 and Astaxanthin. The brilliant hue in Wholemega comes from Astaxanthin—an antioxidant that is naturally found in Wild Salmon and abundant in this extra-virgin fish oil.
Whole Food- Wholemega Whole Fish Oil offers a whole-food alternative to fractionated, highly processed and high-heat purified fish oils.
Extra-Virgin Process- Pressed in a proprietary process similar to fine olive oil, Wholemega preserves natural antioxidants and Vitamin D3 that can be removed in other fish oils during processing.
Clinical Results- Human clinical trials have shown Wholemega helps retain healthy triglyceride levels and promotes other studied heart health markers.
Fresh & Wildly Pure -Naturally pure Wholemega utilizes 100% Wild Alaskan Salmon—from fisheries cited as worldwide models of sustainability.
Three Servings of Salmon -Taking Wholemega every day for a week‡ provides the same amount of whole Omega fatty acids as three servings of Wild Alaskan Salmon.

Good product but expensive

This is a good whole food fish oil derived from only wild salmon. There is much written by authorities on the importance of Good contaminant free Omega 3 fatty acids. So I won't reiterate this. The downside of whole food fish oil vs. distilled is that whole food may have heavy metals or other contamination in it from whatever that fish ate. It maybe a low risk if the fish always ate other fish that never traveled to non-industrialized areas or were around any oil/chemical contamination from marine or oil drilling accidents. As a salmon oil is does have some Astaxanthin in it which is an excellent anti-oxidant and important in eye health. But the amounts are relative low. Don't get distracted with side dishes in your fish oil like Vit D, Vit E and Astaxathin. All good stuff but the main reason to take fish oil is for the Omega 3's. Don't shortchange your self on Omega 3's to get a few side dishes that you can get in adequate amounts else where. Most middle age and older folks should take 5-8 of these gel caps a day. It gets expensive. That is why it gets only 4 stars. Go to my home page to see my fish oil recommendations and other value added reviews. If you found this helpful "Yes" votes are appreciated. Thanks and good health!

Try fermented cod liver oil. Much more vitamin D, EPA and DHA, vitamin K (due to fermentation) and also huge amounts of natural vitamin A, that all fish oils lack. Also, since mercury and many other toxicities are water soluble, are stored in the muscle part of the fish not the liver (the liver is not a place for storage anyway) and so cod liver oil would be much safer that any other fish oil as far as heavy metals are concrned. And it's a great value for money.

This made by blood work change for the better after only one month of use! I originally used the regular omega 3 with epa and dha and it had no effect at all. Switching to the special alaskin salmon made a huge difference!! I will be using this product forever!
