Now Foods, AlphaSorb-C 500, 180 Veg Capsules

The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

NOW AlphaSorb-C includes Transport C-Plus, the trademarked blend of Threonic Acid Enhanced Buffered (non-acidic) Calcium Ascorbate and Alpha Lipoic acid. Threonic Acid (a Vitamin C metabolite) has been shown to enhance cellular uptake of vitamin C. Alpha Lipoic Acid is an antioxidant known to help regenerate Vitamin C in the body. Furthermore, studies suggest that Alpha Lipoic Acid may enhance the body's utilization of Vitamin C. The addition of Bioflavonoids helps to create a well-absorbed, highly effective Vitamin C supplement. Vitamin C is best known as a highly effective antioxidant that can protect the body's cells and molecules from damage by free radicals.
As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule 1 to 3 times daily, preferably with food. Consider taking these other NOW products: Pycnogenol and Advanced Gamma E Complex.
Cellulose (capsule), cellulose powder, stearic acid (vegetable source), magnesium stearate (vegetable source) and silica.

iHerb Customer Reviews
I'm currently doing chelation to remove mercury and lead from my body. This AlphaSorb-C helps this process for me (confirmed with muscle testing). I find that I tolerate esterified vitamin C better than ascorbic acid, and I like the other synergistic ingredients in this supplement. Good price too. But I wish it came in a tablet as well as Vcaps.
Taking this vitamin C made my nose clear up a bit...I wondered why and was surprised to see hesperidin on the label ....which of course helps in allergies and is primarily used in treating bladder cancer as per Dr. Blaylock's book Natural Strategies for Cancer patients. Also, it's in the correct formulation by being buffered and it's in the 500mg which is good since you should NEVER take Vit C in less than 500 mg IF you take it ALONE. Lower does of vit c when taken alone is not good. If I had one choice of vitamin to take with me on a deserted island it would definately be Vit. C!! Taking Vit C with food makes you absorb iron from your food which you always want to avoid unless you are anemic. Stay away from iron unless anemic.
