Coenzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like compound also called ubiquinone. It is an essential component of cells and is necessary for mitochondrial energy production. Years of research have shown that CoQ10 supports healthy cardiovascular and immune system functions in addition to its vital role in energy production.
This product has more CoQ10 (600 mg per softgel) than our regular strength product (60 mg per softgel).
As a dietary supplement, take 1 softgel 1 to 2 times daily, preferably with food. We highly recommend taking this product with a source of essential fatty acids such as NOW Flax Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Borage Oil or Omega-3 Fish Oil.
Due to size of softgel, take with 8 oz of water or other beverage. As an alternative, NOW also offers CoQ10 in smaller softgel, capsule, powder and liquid forms.
Rice bran oil, softgel capsule (gelatin, glycerin, water, annatto extract, zinc oxide) and beeswax.
Not manufactured with wheat, gluten, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.
NOW CoQ10 is Pharmaceutical Grade. NOW CoQ10 products contain only the natural, all-trans form of CoQ10 produced by fermentation.
Contains no titanium dioxide. Separation and color variation in the softgel may occur. This is natural and doesn't affect product quality.
Caution: For adults only. Consult physician if pregnant/nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children.
Do not eat freshness packet. Keep in bottle.
Store in a cool, dry place after opening.

My mom has Parkinson's and was prescribed this product by her neurologist a few years ago. Taken in conjunction with her prescription medication it has significantly slowed down the progression of her desease. After I saw the results, I decided to try this product myself. In addition to improving my skin, it eliminated my gum desease and strengthened my gums. Now I am also purchasing this product for my father who is on a number of heart medications. This product is known to reduce negative effects of statins. I highly recommend this product, especially to people who are on heavy prescription meds for heart condition or cancer.
I take 600 mg per day and this pill is the perffect size. I still have a small supply of 150 mg pills to consume, but tried a week's worth of this product and felt no difference. 600 mg of coQ10 is about what the body makes when a person is in their twenties, and so is a rational dosage choice for an old man like me (79). CoQ10 is a true geriatric vitamin. Thank you iHerb for offering this.

CoQ10 for Parkinson's
Posted by Reviewer3363511 on Feb 07, 2012
I take CoQ10 600mg twice daily as a supplement for Parkinson's. I can't really say if it's helping to slow down the progression but I haven't gotten worse since taking it during the last 2-3 years.
The best high-dosage CoQ10 supplement I have found so far
Posted by Reviewer3272925 on Jan 18, 2012
Most of the currently available CoQ10 offer a range of low-dosage options (50-100 mg). Thanks to Now Foods, high dosages of CoQ10 intake can be achieved cheaper, with less capsules!
