Lutein is an orange-red carotenoid pigment produced by plants and is present in the diet in colorful fruits and vegetables. In the body, Lutein is one of the predominant pigments concentrated in the macula, a specialized area of the eye that is responsible for central vision. In addition, it is known to be deposited in the skin. Lutein's functional role in these vulnerable tissues is to protect against sunlight-induced free radical production. This product is naturally derived from marigold flowers.

Since taking these pills my wife & I both agree that everything is much brighter & clearer. Another plus is the size of these pills. They are very small & easy to swallow. My kids take them every other day
I think the eye strain and pain I have after working on the computer may be due to eye muscle strain and circulation strain, and not a problem with the retina (which Lutein helps). I have also taken Zeaxanthin from LEF, with no effect. Strange. I tried many brands of Lutein, with no effect. Instead of lutein, I recommend taking Idebenone (which had an effect on my tired eyes from the very first softgel I took) and Astaxanthin (which takes about 1 month to build up).

I wear contact lens around 15 hours per day and spend 9 hours for computer work, my eyes were usually dry and red afterall. I started taking this supplement for a month, it really helps improving.

Got this after seeing all the raves in reviews. Been taking this for the past few weeks, might take some time to really see the effects but so far, so good, eyes less tiring. Will continue taking this~
