There's a lot to like about Xylitol. This naturally-occurring sugar alcohol is one of the healthiest and most unique sweeteners you'll find. Unlike sugars such as sucrose and fructose, NOW Real Food Xylitol is sugar alcohol, which doesn't promote tooth decay. Even though it's classified as a carbohydrate, it has a low glycemic impact due to its slow absorption in the digestive tract, and its caloric impact is around 1/3 lower than other carbohydrates, making Xylitol a healthy sweetener that's hard to beat.

NOW Real Food Pure Xylitol Powder is derived from corn and is the perfect healthy substitute for sugar in many cooking applications.

Because you are what you eat, NOW Real Food has been committed to providing delicious, healthy, natural and organic foods since 1968. We're independent, family owned, and proud of it. Keep it natural. Keep it real.

Other Ingredients

Pure xylitol powder.

Warnings

Note: Do not feed Xylitol to dogs or other pets.

Caution: Diarrhea may occur with excessive consumption. If this happens, reduce intake or discontinue use.

NON GMO corn based xylitol from China?

Posted by Reviewer1945339 on May 17, 2016

This product is made in china, from corn. It says non gmo. However anything that is supposed to be edible coming from china already raises red flags. But made from corn? Forget it now foods. Stay away from this! Even if this corn was non gmo, this is not an organic product so it could be laden with all sorts of pesticides. I should have read the label before I got this. Flushed it down the toilet after only 2 table spoons. Go for american hardwood sourced xylitol instead.

XYLITOL SWEETENER

Posted by 5663816200719016214 on May 15, 2016

HAVE NOT USED THIS PRODUCT YET BUT ORDERED IT BECAUSE I'M DIABETIC. NOT AS LOW-CALORIE AS A NUMBER OF OTHER SWEETENERS, BUT AM HOPING IT IS A BETTER ALTERNATIVE THAN SOME OTHER ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS.

use this every day

Posted by alloriginal on Jan 23, 2016

I've tried to give up sugar, with some success, but I MUST have sugar in my coffee! The artificial sweeteners all taste strange to me. This fits the bill nicely. Looks, feels and tastes just like sugar. It imparts a rather pleasant after-taste too. I strongly recommend this to anyone who will listen!

Love it!

We are both trying to lose weight, so, as we like stevia, but still like the sweetness of sugar, we got xylitol. It is sweet like sugar. Less calories. My tea tastes lighter. Well worth the buy.

Homemade nasal rinse

Posted by Reviewer1538943 on Jun 03, 2015

I use this to make a xylitol nasal rinse, which not only helps tremendously with seasonal allergies, but was the only thing that knocked out a nasal infection last winter that had lasted through 3 different courses of antibiotics over a 6 week period and was giving me migraines. For the rinse I use: 8 oz distilled or boiled water 1 Neil Med salt packet 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon xylitol 6 drops GSE I use this in a nasal spray bottle twice a day and my allergies (which are generally horrible May-November) are almost unnoticed. I don't know how it works, but it does!
