NOW Virgin Coconut Oil delivers the natural nutrient profile found in Genuine Whole Foods.
Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera) is a traditional dietary staple of the people of Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands and has been used in Ayurvedic herbalism for thousands of years. NOW Virgin Coconut Oil is unrefined cold-pressed oil, and does not utilize any solvents in the manufacturing process. Coconut oil has no trans-fats and is abundant in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), such as lauric acid (C-12) and caprylic acid (C-8). MCTs are less likely to be stored in the body as fat than most other fatty acids. When combined with essential fatty acids, it is a perfect addition to an overall healthy lipid program.

I was excited with the concept of having softgels available, however, I am extremely disappointed after having read and compared the gram count vs. the coconut oil in the jar. Compared to the coconut oil in the jar,the softgels only give you a few drops of coconut oil per serving because of fillers. 1 tbs. of coconut oil is 14 grams, 3 softgels, only 4 grams. I don't understand why the companies would not fill the softgels with pure coconut oil rather than using fillers. In my opinion, this compromises the quality of the product.
I have very coarse, thick African American hair and in just taking this a few days, my hair felt very soft and moisturized, as if I had a conditioning treatment on it "BUT I DIDN'T". Its great for your hair, and skin. This is better than any conditioner from the salon..and trust me I"ve bought them all.

Despite the other reviews, I have been taking these pills for months now and have had no problem with aftertaste or odor. They are a little large - but easy to go down. Because of the research of coconut oil with Alzheimer's I will be taking these for the rest of my life! They were recommended by my doctor and I would recommend these to anyone that has the Alzheimer's disease in their family!

I normally use the coconut oil in the jar. When I saw these in softgels. I decided to purchase because of the benefits. I am still taking these softgels I take them occasionally because you have to take too many at once. I just take one. I do not see the benefits of it. But I still use the coconut oil in the jar to cook. I use only coconut oil and Olive oil. Coconut oil is a very good product, have a lot benefits. I have been using it since I was a child and my parents have used it also. I drink the coconut water also.
