- This Dry, Non-Oily Form of Vitamin D is Vegetarian/Vegan
NOW Dry Vitamin D-1000 Vcaps supply recommended levels of this key vitamin in a completely vegetarian form. Vitamin D is normally obtained from the diet or produced by the skin from the ultraviolet energy of the sun. However, it is not abundant in food. As more people avoid sun exposure, Vitamin D supplementation becomes even more necessary to ensure that your body receives an adequate supply.
As a dietary supplement, take one Vcap daily with a meal. Consider taking this product in combination with NOW Vitamin A and Calcium supplements.
Rice flour, cellulose (capsule), magnesium stearate (vegetable source), silica, maltodextrin, cellulose and mixed tocopherol. Contains soy derivative.
Contains no sugar, salt, yeast, wheat, gluten, milk, egg, shellfish or preservatives.
Do not eat freshness packet. Keep in bottle.
Store in a cool, dry place.

seems to be well tolerated. my blood tests are doing better with this formula of D3.
I can't believe how vitamin D "woke me up". It's like a gray veil was lifted off me. I've been spending a lot time in NE Ohio where it is mostly gray and overcast. I thought I was depressed. Then I read about vitamin D and decided to try it. I am vegetarian so I took D2 not D3. It still works. Then I read a study by a doctor who said D2 can be just as effective as D3. I totally agree.

This supplement and Deva's Cal-Mag allowed me to move again
Posted by 5463635071052330866 on Apr 03, 2016
After years of almost never being outside, I've begun to have severe pains in my lower back, spine, limbs and other areas, ending up being almost unable to walk and completely unable to jump, run, squat or perform everyday activities. After 2 years of living like this I came to the realization that it may be due to a vitamin D deficiency, considering that it's the only vitamin you can't reliably get from food. My symptoms matched those of osteomalacia and the recommendation for treating it was to take 10 000 IU of vitamin D weekly for 4-6 weeks. So I ordered this Now Foods supplement and the Deva Cal-Mag Plus supplement, just to be sure that I also have enough calcium despite getting it from the diet. I felt better after just a few days of taking them as recommended and now that it's been nearly a month, I can walk and move properly again and there's little pain compared to how it was before. I have 3 more months worth of caps so I hope my bones get back to normal but even if they don't, the improvements that I've experienced are already worth the money.
